I’ve attempted to estimate the status of the restoration fund once all restoration work
is completed, all grants received and all bills paid. This is necessary to determine if
any extra fund raising will be required.
Using the estimated costs detailed in the English Heritage Report dated November
2010 and the money we’ve raised through fund raising and grants received I estimate
the Restoration Fund (which includes the Fabric Fund) will show a surplus of £1303.
However, because of the uncertainty of reclaiming VAT under the Listed Places of
Worship scheme, which now has fixed quarterly budgets, and the fact that we don’t
yet know how much the repairs will actually cost (awaiting quotations) the final
figure is bound to change.
