St. Andrew’s is part of the Langport Area Team of the Diocese of Bath and Wells in the Church of England. A rural parish church, St. Andrew’s prides itself on offering a warm welcome to all, in joyful service and fellowship with our village. Daily prayer underpins ministry throughout the benefice, including the parish of Aller. If you have concerns that you would like included in our prayers, please leave a note in the church, or submit your request through the prayer request e-mail: Prayers.StAndrews@googlemail.com. The Links Page will take you to the daily prayer site for the Church of England. Home Group: When there is interest, we have a small home discussion group that meets fortnightly. Beginning Thursday, 12 July, we will be meeting weekly in Low Ham to enjoy cream teas as we view and discuss Bishop Peter Price's video series, "Changing Lives for Good." For details please contact: David Mayor (01458 253623). Church Location: Aller is a small village with just two streets -- but amazingly, it is still hard to find the church! To get to St. Andrew's, take the A372 to the village center. At the Old Pound Inn, turn onto Church Path street. About two hundred yards down Church Path, bear left, past the recreation fields and up the hill to the church -- on the left, just before the farm and private residence. Special Events Coming Soon -- Updates on Mothering Sunday, Special Village Services, and Events for 2008. Other Langport Team Churches St. Mary’s, Huish Episcopi St. Catherine’s, Drayton St. Andrew’s High Ham Christchurch, Long Load Holy Trinity, Long Sutton Sts Peter&Paul, Muchelney John the Baptist, Pitney |
